Campus Supervision Liaison

7.75 hrs/day

Job Description / Essential Elements:
Print FULLERTON JOINT UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT CAMPUS SUPERVISION LIAISON BASIC FUNCTION:
Under supervision, monitor and control student behavior on a high school campus; write simple reports; and perform related duties as required.

EXAMPLES OF

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Enforce rules, regulations, and District policies;
2. Observe and control student behavior in non-classroom activities;
3. Supervise and modify student behavior in non-classroom activities and special school activities, such as assemblies, dances, and athletic events;
4. Supervise and assist Campus Supervision Aides in performance of assigned duties; 5. Act as a liaison between campus administration and Campus Supervision Aides, the home, and law enforcement agencies on student behavior issues;
6. Receive and investigate student referrals; report findings to campus administration and parents as required;
7. Work with campus administration to develop positive communication with students and parents regarding behavior at school via telephone, personal visits, and written correspondence;
8. Patrol student parking areas; give referrals as needed;
9. Request unauthorized persons to leave campus grounds; 10. Use a walkie-talkie for urgent communications; 11. Locate students on campus as needed; and 12. Assist in the evacuation of buildings during emergencies in accordance with standard procedures.

KNOWLEDGE OF: 1. Principles of human behavior.

ABILITY TO: 1. Learn and apply rules, regulations, and District policies;
2. Analyze situations accurately; adopt an effective course of action;
3. Make independent decisions within established guidelines;
4. Work effectively with bilingual and bicultural students;
5. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing;
6. Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with students; and 7. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/

EDUCATION:

1. Graduation from high school, supplemented by courses in behavioral psychology desired.
2. Three years of responsible work history, including direct contact with the public, preferably with youth groups; and 3. Bilingual capability in Spanish desired.

EDUCATION:

Any combination equivalent to:
• Letter of interest, attention Mark Miller, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources
• A current resume
• Three letters of recommendation dated within the last three months
• High School Diploma/Equivalent or Higher Degree This position will assist administration in monitoring student and non-student behavior in order to encourage proper behavior on campus; and do related work as required. Applicant must have knowledge of Penal Code sections and District policies related to orderly conduct on campus property. See attached job description.

Effective 7.1.2025: :
Salary schedule increase of 2% and a 2% off-schedule payment at year-end. 2026–2027:
Salary schedule increase of 60% of the statutory funded COLA, plus any funded ongoing augmentations as provided in the State Budget Act; 2% off-schedule payment at year-end. 2027–2028:
Salary schedule increase of 50% of the statutory funded COLA, plus any funded ongoing augmentations as provided in the State Budget Act; 2% off-schedule payment at year-end
