English Instructor – Part‑Time

Position Title:

English Instructor Pool – Part‑Time (Fullerton College, FC Humanities Department).

Location:

Fullerton, California.

Employment Type:

Part‑Time; assignments on a per‑duty‑day basis; duties may involve lecture, lab, or parity units.

• Teach undergraduate English courses (lecture, lab, or parity units) as scheduled.
• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials that address diverse learning needs.
• Provide support for special‑population programs (e.g., Puente, UMOJA, dual enrollment) when assigned.
• Participate in faculty meetings and program reviews as required.

• Master’s degree in English, literature, comparative literature, or composition.
• Or Bachelor’s degree in any of the above fields plus a Master’s in linguistics, TESL, speech, education (reading, creative writing, or journalism) or equivalent.
• Valid transcripts and verification of prior teaching experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

• Experience teaching dual‑enrollment English courses.
• Experience with special‑population programs such as Puente or UMOJA.
• Willingness to reflect on and adapt instructional practices to support disproportionately impacted students.
