Elementary & Bilingual Education - Part-Time Lecturer Clinical Coach Pool
The Department of Elementary & Bilingual Education at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Clinical Coach Pool. We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced in part-time teaching as a clinical coach for student teaching in the Elementary Credential program. This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available.
Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.
Required qualifications include:
- Master's degree in education or a closely related field
- Minimum of three years' experience in teaching or working with preK-8 students in diverse settings
- Commitment to just, equitable, and inclusive education.
- Knowledge of the current context of public schooling including the California adopted P-12 content standards, frameworks, and accountability systems
- Knowledge of diversity in society, including diverse abilities, culture, language, ethnicity, and gender orientation
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work with students from intersecting historically marginalized social groups using innovative instructional approaches and methods
- Commitment to ongoing professional development to maintain currency in the field, including effective use of technology
Preferred qualifications include:
- Demonstrated experience using anti-racist teaching and social justice pedagogies.
- Bilingual or biliterate or have experience working with bilingual/biliterate students
- Experience with supporting teachers, teacher candidates and/or new teachers.
- Knowledge of CCTC Teaching Performance Expectations (applicable to teaching courses in the credential program).
- Active in subject matter professional organizations
