African American Studies - Part-Time Lecturer Pool
The Department of African American Studies at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer pool. We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student centered to teach in the following subject areas:
- African American Culture
- African American History
- African American Literature
- Ethnic Studies
This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available. Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.
Required qualifications:
- Candidates must hold at least a Master's degree in African American Studies, Ethnic Studies, or a related field.
- Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
Preferred qualifications:
- PhD in African American Studies, Ethnic Studies, or a related field.
- Experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
- Relevant work experience and professional capabilities.
- Scholars demonstrating innovative approaches to interdisciplinary pedagogy.
