- Part-Time Lecturer Pool
The Department of Computer Science at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool. We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about teaching and student centered to teach in the following subject areas:
- Web or Mobile Application Programming
- Cybersecurity
- Cloud Computing
- High Performance Computing
- Computer Graphics
- Computer Networks
- Machine Intelligence
- Bioinformatics
- Programming Languages and Compilers
- Algorithms
- Operating Systems
- Software Engineering
This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified will be contacted when positions are available. Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.
Required qualifications include:
- MS degree in computer science or closely related field, or BS degree in computer science or closely related field with at least 2 years industry experience in computer science field, and demonstrable experience in the appropriate field.
- Proficiency in online teaching strategies
- Candidates should have prior teaching experience at the university level
- Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse student population, including first-generation college students.
Preferred qualifications include:
- A Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
- Preference will be given to those with significant teaching experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
- Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities
