Position DetailsFullerton College, Department of Fine Arts. Part‑time, as needed, with possible lab parity rate. Salary ranges from $1,572.67 to $1,725.85 per lecture unit and $1,258.16 to $1,380.60 per lab unit.
Course & ScheduleIntro to Technical Theatre (THEA 141) is taught Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 AM to 11:10 AM in Spring and Fall. The course consists of 3 lecture units and 3 lab units.
Essential Functions- Deliver lectures and laboratory instruction in technical theatre.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, projects, and assessments.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and industry partners to enhance learning.
- Maintain safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and at least two years of professional experience in technical theatre.
- OR Associate degree in any discipline and at least six years of professional experience.
- OR Valid California teaching credential for community college technical theatre.
- OR equivalent qualifications as determined by district.
- Experience teaching introductory technical theatre courses with innovative practices that support retention of women, students of color, and students with disabilities.
- Proficiency in theatrical technology, stagecraft, scenic, lighting, costume, audio, and makeup design.
- Understanding of CTE objectives and hands‑on experience as a theatrical technician or stagehand.
- Experience with digital learning platforms (e.g., Canvas).
