Fullerton College – Department of Fine Arts. Part‑time teaching position, classes held Tuesdays & Thursdays 2:00‑4:30 p.m., beginning February 2, 2026.

• Salary: $1,572.67 – $1,725.85 per lecture or lab parity unit; $1,258.16 – $1,380.60 per lab unit (per unit rates apply)

  Part‑time, months to be determined, work schedule as above

• Collaborate closely with the Acting for Camera Program Coordinator and report to the Theatre Arts Department Coordinator.
• Teach the Acting for Camera course, including audition techniques, script analysis, actor‑to‑camera relationships, and performance fundamentals.
• Assist students in preparing, rehearsing, and editing scene work to create footage reels.
• Help students develop skills for professional film and audition settings.
• Maintain a friendly, supportive learning environment for students, staff, faculty, and the public.

• Master’s degree, MFA, BFA, or BA in drama/theater arts/performance, or a bachelor’s degree plus a master’s in comparative literature, English, communication studies, speech, literature, or humanities; or a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject area; or equivalent credentials or experience as deemed equivalent.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and sensitivity to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, religious, gender, and disability backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff.
• Applicants must provide official transcripts and verification of experience prior to the first duty day, employment eligibility documentation, fingerprints, and required medical certification. No visa sponsorship is offered.

• Extensive understanding of multi‑camera and single‑camera production and performance techniques.
• Proficiency in multi‑camera and single‑camera directing techniques.
• Knowledge of commercial audition processes.
• Experience editing multi‑camera and single‑camera production.
• Understanding of lighting and sound for multi‑camera and single‑camera production.
• Directly related professional performance experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Expertise in culturally responsive teaching in theater arts, especially addressing equity gaps for racially minoritized groups.
• Experience with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas).
• Experience collaborating with faculty, staff, and community leaders to support historically underrepresented students.
