Communication Sciences and Disorders - Part-Time Lecturer Pool
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool.
We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student centered to teach undergraduate courses in communicative disorders as needed in the following subject areas:
- Phonetics
- Introduction to communicative disorders
- Audiology and audiometry
- Aural Rehabilitation
- Speech/language disorders
- Speech/language development
- Sign language
- Anatomy and physiology
- Neurology and neurogenic communicative disorders
- Clinical methods and procedures
- Clinical Supervision
This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available.
Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.
Required qualifications:
- A Master's or PhD (i.e. M.A, M.S., AuD, PhD, EdD) degree in Communicative Disorders
- Candidates should have prior teaching experience at the university level or at least 5 years of experience as a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse student population, including first-generation college students.
- Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist or Audiologist with ASHA-CCC and State of California Licensure.
Preferred qualifications:
- Preference will be given to those with significant teaching experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
- Preference will also be given to SLPs who are bilingual for clinical supervision
