Position
The Department of Cinema and Television Arts (CTVA) at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part‑Time Lecturer Pool.
Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available.
Appointments are temporary and are often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.
Subject Areas- Critical Studies
- Management
- Production
- Screenwriting
- A PhD or MFA degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Prior teaching experience at the university level.
- Ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first‑generation college students.
- Significant teaching experience with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
- Record of professional writing and currency.
All part‑time faculty appointments are made as Lecturers and are for one semester only.
Classification range: $5,507 – $6,677 per month.
Anticipated hiring range: not to exceed $6,221 per month.

Appointment Dates and Academic CalendarThe need for part‑time faculty is greatest in Fall and Spring semesters.
Fall term: late August to mid‑December. Spring term: middle of January to end of May. Summer Session segments occasionally require part‑time faculty.
Performance EvaluationRegular performance evaluations of part‑time lecturers are made by the department in accord with the faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement and University Policy Statement 210.070 to determine which lecturers will be retained for future teaching assignments. Syllabi, assignments and reading material may also be reviewed by the departmental personnel committee.
Mandated Reporter and Background CheckPosition holders are mandated reporters under the California Child Abuse And Neglect Reporting Act and must comply with CSU Executive Order 1083.
The offer is contingent upon a satisfactory background check; the offer may be rescinded if disqualifying information is revealed or if information was knowingly withheld or falsified.
