POSITION – The Division of Anthropology at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part‑Time Lecturer Pool. Part‑time lecturers are called as needed; appointments are temporary and often made shortly before the start of an academic term, requiring availability on short notice.
Required Qualifications- Candidates must hold at least a Master’s degree in a field relevant to the anthropology curriculum. A Ph.D. or extensive professional experience is desirable for upper‑division (300–400 level) courses and required for graduate courses (500 level).
- Applicants should demonstrate the ability to interact with a wide and culturally diverse student body, including first‑generation college students.
- Experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment.
- Relevant professional experience and the ability to bring professional capabilities to the classroom.

Appointment & SalaryAppointments are made as Lecturers under the CSU Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement. Initial appointments last one semester. Classification range: $5,507–$6,677 per month; anticipated hiring range not to exceed $6,221 per month. Salaries are prorated to units and paid in six monthly installments for each full semester. Compensation for a three‑unit assignment typically ranges from $6,608.40 to $7,465.20 per semester.
Appointment Dates & Academic CalendarDemand is greatest in Fall and Spring semesters (Fall: late August to mid‑December; Spring: mid‑January to end of May). Part‑time faculty may be needed for Summer Sessions occasionally.
Legal & Background RequirementsAll applicants must comply with the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and CSU Executive Order 1083. This offer is contingent upon a satisfactory background check; continued employment also requires successful completion of such checks.
