Titans Gate Attendants work at assigned school sites to help greet parents of participating students in the after‑school programs and also conduct sign out for every student present at the after‑school programs on a daily basis.

Must be available to work five (5) days a week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 2:45 p.m.

- 6:30 p.m. and Thursdays from 12:30 - 6:30 p.m.

* Please be aware that funding for this position is awarded through a Grant/Contract over a specified period. Employment for this position beyond the current Grant/Contract funding is contingent upon continued funding.

Essential Duties
  • Must implement all Titans After School Program rules and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with staff members at site.
  • Ensures the students receive constant supervision and provides a safe and supported environment at all times.
  • May be asked to stay past scheduled time when students are picked up past normal check‑out time.
  • Must display professionalism at all times.
  • Responsible for supporting their supervisor by following their directions.
  • Communicates regularly with the Site Coordinator regarding all aspects of the program at the designated site.
  • Responsible for clocking in/out on a daily basis.
  • Checks identification for all guardians picking up students from after‑school programs on a daily basis and obtaining all signatures of guardians picking up students at the school site. Must obtain the proper documentation needed from the guardian to sign out students.
  • Safeguards all sensitive material that has student and parent information and must have a visual watch over this material and files at all times.
  • Returns all sensitive files to the correct supervisor of the after‑school programs at their school site at the end of each day.
  • Communicates any messages to participating students’ guardians that have been directed to them to communicate on a daily basis and communicates any messages that participating students' guardians want conveyed to the program staff on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for setting up and taking down their sign‑out stations at the designated areas on school grounds on a daily basis. Gate attendants will work outside 100% of the time to conduct sign‑out for all after‑school programs.
  • Must communicate to after‑school program staff by using walkie talkies at all times.
  • Gate attendants must not permit any parent, non‑faculty member, or non‑after‑school program staff on school campuses beyond the gated area.
  • Serve as security for the after‑school programs and must follow all emergency protocols in the event an incident does occur.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bilingual:
    English and Spanish with effective professional communication.
  • Gate attendants must have great customer service skills and be able to troubleshoot.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic and highly motivated.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel) and Google Drive (i.e. Docs, Sheets).
  • Must be flexible, team oriented, child focused, and wanting to make a difference in children’s lives.

EDUCATION:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Prolonged sitting in front of computer. Walking, talking, hearing, pulling, bending, may carry 10-15 pounds of objects/material, not exposed to extreme noise level, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, taste or smell.
