Theatre Arts Production & Design – Stagecraft Instructor Pool – Part‑Time
Full‑time instructor position for the course THEA 143 Stagecraft. The course is scheduled Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:25 AM to 1:35 PM during the Spring and Fall semesters. The course carries 3 lecture units and 3 lab units.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline AND two years of professional experience;
- Associate degree in any discipline AND six years of professional experience;
- Valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject area;
- Equivalent qualifications as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.
- Experience teaching technical theatre courses, especially introductory classes;
- Knowledge of theatrical safety, stagecraft principles, scenic materials, rigging, etc.;
- Experience with project‑based learning and student success for underrepresented groups;
- Experience with LMS (Canvas) and CTE program objectives;
- Strong collaborative skills with faculty and community partners.
