Job for part‑time faculty positions (pool) at Fullerton College, North Orange County Community College District.

Title:

Communication Studies Instructor Pool – Part‑Time
Salary: $1,391.74 – $1,527.30 per lecture unit rate; $1,391.74 – $1,527.30 per lab parity unit rate; $1,113.42 – $1,221.77 per lab unit rate.

Fall 2025 instructors needed for courses in:
Public Speaking, Small Group Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Essentials of Argumentation.

• The award of all degrees must be verifiable on a legible transcript. If degree award date is not posted on transcript, the application will be deemed incomplete and removed from consideration.
• Grade cards will not be accepted in lieu of transcripts.
• All degrees and coursework used to satisfy the required minimum qualifications must be submitted and from accredited postsecondary institutions. See our website regarding accredited postsecondary institutions.
• Evaluations of foreign degrees and/or coursework are required. See our website for information regarding evaluation of foreign degrees.

• Master’s in speech, speech broadcasting, telecommunications, rhetoric, communication, communication studies, speech communication, or organizational communication
• or Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in drama/theater arts, mass communication, or English
• or possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area
• or equivalent qualifications (related education, training, employment and professional experience equal to the required degree(s) and experience as determined by the District Equivalency Committee)
• commitment to diversity; demonstrated sensitivity to diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff
• ability to demonstrate how these factors relate to the need for equity‑minded practices within the classroom

• commitment to examine, reflect, and modify instructional, relational, and classroom practices in order to effectively engage and support disproportionately impacted student populations with the goal of closing equity gaps
