The Fullerton College Department of Fine Arts is seeking part‑time Theatre Crafts Lab Instructor Pool faculty to teach 6‑unit lab classes in the Spring and Fall semesters. Instructors will deliver studio‑based instruction in theatre arts with an emphasis on scenic construction, prop fabrication, and stage design.

Location: Fullerton College, Fullerton, CA
Employment Status: Part‑time; months of employment varies; work schedule Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday 2:00 PM–5:10 PM
Salary: $1572.67–$1725.85 per lecture unit rate (annual). Also payable per lab parity unit rate and per lab unit rate as listed.
Responsibilities- Teach Theatre Crafts Lab courses for undergraduate students, covering scenic construction, prop fabrication, and stage design.
- Develop lesson plans, handouts, and assignments aligned with the curriculum objectives.
- Provide critical feedback on student projects, assess work against rubrics, and maintain detailed records.
- Maintain a safe, well‑equipped lab environment; troubleshoot technical and safety concerns.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student learning and program goals.
- Participate in faculty meetings and professional development as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline plus at least two years of professional experience.
- or Associate's degree and at least six years of professional experience.
- or a valid California teaching credential for community college in the appropriate subject area.
- or equivalent qualifications that meet the required degree and experience as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; knowledge of diverse student backgrounds and sensitivity to these aspects in the classroom.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in scenic and prop construction, CAD drafting, 3D modeling, welding, CNC routing, or 3D printing.
- Experience supervising AWP/MEWPs in a workshop environment.
- Experience teaching technical theatre courses to undergraduate students, especially introductory classes.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems such as Canvas.
