The Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences (ISDS) at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part‑Time Lecturer Pool. Applicants will be drawn to teach in the subject areas below and may be invited to teach graduate‑level courses in the MSIS program and the MBA concentrations in Information Systems, Business Analytics, and Decision Sciences. Positions are temporary and are assigned on short notice.

• Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Operations Research, Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Sciences, or a related accredited field.
• Relevant experience in a quantitative or computational field.
• Proficiency with tools used in the courses such as SQL/databases, Python or R, Tableau or Power BI, Excel modeling, and/or systems analysis and design.
• Ability to interact effectively with a diverse student body, including first‑generation college students.

• Doctoral degree in a related field.
• Significant teaching experience with diverse populations, fostering inclusive, collaborative learning environments.
• Relevant professional experience and certifications that demonstrate current practice.
• Experience integrating artificial intelligence concepts and AI tools (e.g., generative AI, large language models, AI‑assisted analytics) responsibly into instruction.
• Documentation of professional currency, certifications, or scholarly activity that aligns with AACSB faculty qualification framework.

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the designated subject areas.
• Prepare syllabi, learning materials, and assessments appropriate for the course.
• Encourage and support student learning and engagement, particularly among diverse and first‑generation students.
• Maintain availability on short notice and participate in departmental meetings and reviews as required.

Appointments are made as Lecturers under the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the California Faculty Association. Initial appointments are for one semester only.

Classification Range: $5,507 – $6,677 per month (prorated for units taught). For a three‑unit assignment, typical compensation ranges from $6,608.40 to $7,465.20 per semester.

All compensation is paid in six monthly installments for each full semester.

Regular performance evaluations are conducted in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and University Policy Statement 210.070, determining retention for future assignments.

Applicants must complete a satisfactory background check. The position requires compliance with the California Child Abuse And Neglect Reporting Act and CSU Executive Order 1083. Continued employment depends on successful background screening.
