The Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences (ISDS) at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part‑Time Lecturer Pool.
We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student‑centered to teach in the following subject areas:
- Information System (Management Information Systems / MIS)
- Statistics / Decision Sciences
- Business Analytics
- Data Analytics / Information Technology
Applicants may also express interest in graduate‑level teaching in the M.S. in Information Systems (MSIS) and the MBA concentrations in Information Systems, Business Analytics, and Decision Sciences.
ResponsibilitiesLecturers will be called upon to deliver instruction on a short‑notice basis, generally in the Fall and Spring semesters.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching undergraduate courses in the subject areas listed above.
- Preparing and delivering course materials, assignments, and exams.
- Maintaining up‑to‑date professional currency, including AI and other emerging technologies, to enhance instruction.
- Participating in performance evaluations and faculty approval processes as required by the CADA and CSUF policies.
- Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Operations Research, Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Sciences or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Relevant experience in a related quantitative or computational field.
- Demonstrated competency with tools used in courses (e.g., SQL/databases, Python or R, Tableau or Power BI, Excel modeling, and/or systems analysis and design).
- Ability to interact and work effectively with a diverse student body.
- Doctoral degree in a related field.
- Significant teaching experience with diverse populations and inclusive pedagogy.
- Professional experience and scholarly activity supporting AACSB faculty qualification framework.
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence concepts and hands‑on experience with AI tools.

Appointment and SalaryAppointments are made as Lecturers under the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Initial appointment is one semester only and includes monthly compensation ranging from $5,507 to $6,677, prorated to units worked. Typical compensation for a three‑unit assignment is $6,608.40 to $7,465.20 per semester.
