Ivy Crest School of Arts, a growing arts program within Ivy Crest Montessori in Fullerton, CA, is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Private Music Instructor to provide individual music instruction to students ages 4–12
.
We are looking for an instructor who enjoys working with children, brings a positive and encouraging attitude to lessons, and can create an engaging learning environment for young musicians.
Piano teaching experience is required. The ability to teach additional instruments, particularly violin and/or guitar is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Provide private music instruction to students ages 4–12
- Teach beginning through intermediate piano, depending on student needs and experience
- Develop age-appropriate, engaging lessons for young musicians
- Track student progress and help students establish achievable musical goals
Communicate professionally with the School of Arts Director regarding scheduling, enrollment, and student needs - Maintain a positive, patient, and encouraging teaching environment
- Demonstrate reliability and professionalism in attendance and scheduling
- Additional teaching opportunities may be available for instructors who can teach guitar, violin, or other instruments

- Proficiency in piano and the ability to provide private piano instruction
- Previous teaching experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with children ages 4–12 preferred
- Ability to teach guitar, violin, or additional instruments is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic, positive, patient, and dependable
- Must successfully complete all required background screening and Live Scan requirements
- Must have, or be willing to obtain, any required business license for independent contractor work

Compensation is based on an hourly/per-student rate
, meaning earning potential increases as the instructor's student enrollment grows.
Teaching hours may be available between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
