Overview
POSITION
Part-Time Lecturer Pool, Department of Social Work, California State University, Fullerton. Applications are invited for a pool of part-time lecturers to be drawn on as needed. Appointments from the pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice. Our core values are:

We welcome applications from individuals with clinical, policy, or teaching experience who are student-centered to teach in the following areas:
- Social Welfare Policy
- Social Work Practice with Older Adults
- Mental Health Policy & Social Work
- Mental Health Practice with Children and Adults
- Human Development in Social Environments
- Master’s Project/ Research Methods
- Social Work Practice with Diverse Populations
- A Master’s Degree in Social Work or Social Welfare from a CSWE-accredited program
- For social work practice classes, at least 2 years of post-master’s practice experience
- University-level teaching experience
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with culturally and ethnically diverse populations in community-based venues
- Social work practice experience with clients from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds in multiple settings
- For social work practice classes, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of California

The need for part-time faculty is greatest in Fall and Spring semesters. Fall term: late August to mid-December. Spring term: mid-January to the end of May. Summer sessions may occur on rare occasions.
Performance EvaluationRegular performance evaluations are conducted and may include review of syllabi, assignments, and reading material by the department and under the faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement and University Policy Statement 210.070.
Appointment and SalaryPart-time appointments are made as Lecturers under the CSU/ CFA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Initial appointments are for one semester. Salary ranges:
Classification Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per month. Anticipated hiring range: not to exceed $6,221 per month. Salaries are prorated to units worked and paid in six monthly payments per semester. For a three-unit assignment, typical starting compensation ranges from $6,608.40 to $7,465.20 per semester.
