Senior Platform Systems Engineer - Air Traffic Systems; Onsite

We are seeking an experienced Platform Systems Engineer for the Air Traffic Systems (ATS) Systems Engineering Department to support the replacement of legacy Air Traffic Control systems in Fullerton, CA, Omaha, NE, or Marlborough, MA. This is a hybrid role with occasional domestic travel. U.S. citizenship is required; FAA clearance will be required.

• Perform networking and integration activities to support development, maintenance, and deployment of the system.
• Manage and generate systems engineering documentation: design memos, specifications, diagrams, Interface Control Documents, test requirements/plans, optimization procedures.
• Perform data analysis and develop analysis tools.
• Make informed technical decisions and conduct technical analyses to support project success.
• Perform trade studies and recommend new technologies and algorithms for the roadmap.
• Support planning, execution, and documentation of formal qualification tests.
• Estimate engineering effort for tasks and projects.
• Support other engineering staff with system engineering related technical issues.

• Degree in STEM or Advanced Degree with minimum 5 years relevant experience (or 3 years with advanced degree).
• Minimum 3 years prior experience in systems engineering.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes).
• SSL/TLS certificate management experience.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux 9.x.
• Standards and best practices for Systems Integration and Test.
• Experience generating and delivering technical documentation to stakeholders.
• Experience with automated test tools.
• Test experience at customer or offsite locations.
• U.S. citizenship and willingness to obtain FAA clearance.

• Platform engineering experience (REST APIs, Gitlab, Helm, JSON, Argo CD, React, Git Ops).
• Prior experience supporting a U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) government contract.
• Experience with Agile development, Scrum, Atlassian Jira/Confluence.
• Experience with AI/ML and modeling/simulation applications.

USD 95,500 – 181,700 per year, commensurate with experience.
