Annual base salary target range is $25.00 - $28.00/hr, with potential eligibility for bonuses or commission depending on the role.
Position SummaryPerform tests and/or measurement tasks for the Environmental department. Environmental:
The branch of mechanics that deals with changes in the environment, including temperature, pressure and humidity.
- Test Setup – read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment.
- Perform Testing – monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data.
- Data Processing – after test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager.
- Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown – physically remove test items, maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keep calibrated instruments current, and organize supplies.
- Other – perform other duties as assigned.
- Under general supervision, can perform certain recurring work independently.
- Regular interaction with clients.
- Intermediate interpretation and analysis of test results.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles, working knowledge of basic safety practices, refrigeration/thermal systems.
- Able to use all standard environmental equipment; accurately capture necessary data; basic MS Office skills; understand AC/DC circuits.
- HS Diploma or GED; AA or AS degree preferred.
- 2‑6 years of experience.
Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises.
Physical RequirementsOccasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
