Mechanical Engineer – Sentinel Radar Product
This role supports the development, production, and deployment of the Sentinel radar product line in Fullerton, CA, and may require domestic and international travel to suppliers and production facilities.
Responsibilities- Develop innovative mechanical subsystems using CAD tools such as Creo Parametric, Solid Works, or equivalent.
- Create preliminary sketches, diagrams, and engineering information to generate 3‑D design models or conceptual designs.
- Apply knowledge of fabrication processes, capabilities, and limitations to provide mechanical engineering solutions on production issues.
- Collaborate with functional team leads for integration across the Sentinel portfolio to ensure successful system design, integration, production, and program execution.
- Support program growth and technology insertion strategies by working closely with functional leaders, program technical leadership, and Program Office.
- Assist the Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) in planning and executing production programs, lateral product applications, and major engineering changes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or hardware system design preferred.
- Demonstrated mechanical engineering design knowledge and experience resolving technical challenges.
- Experience supporting full‑rate production of radar components and assemblies, and working with suppliers of machined parts, panels, and electronics.
- Experience in manufacturing and tolerancing radar mechanical systems and with ANSI/ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
- Strong CAD, technical writing, and oral communication skills.

Salary range: $75,800 – $144,200 USD.
