Overall
Purpose:
The Designer/Drafter is responsible for the preparation of mechanical engineering drawings in accordance with a drafting request.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create and revise fully dimensioned Detail Part drawings, Top Assembly drawings and Tooling drawings from rough product designs while ensuring adherence to established specifications and standards
- Create and modify 3D models
- Confer with engineering staff and prepare design modifications as required
- Adhere to 5S Standards
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, policies for attendance and punctuality and standards for safety
Other Duties:

Position Requirements:
Qualification Requirements:
- High School education or equivalent
- Associate of Arts (AA) Degree in a related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience as a Drafter in structural or mechanical design
- CAD experience in 2D drafting using Creo Elements/Direct Drafting (or similar) and 3D modeling using Solidworks (or similar)
- Knowledge of GD & T preferred
- Good writing and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Fluent in English (able to read, speak, write and understand)
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident)
Physical Demands:
While performing duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to:

Stand, Walk. Work Environment:
Office environment. Must be a U.S. Person based on ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident). This position is expected to be exposed to information which is subject to U.S. export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All Applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of U.S. regulations.
Pay starts at $33-40/hr based on experience
