The Raytheon Hardware Engineering Organization leads the mechanical hardware design, development and production of radar, sonar, torpedo, missile and combat system equipment. The mechanical team uses state-of-the-art tools, processes, technology, and Raytheon's CORE principles. The team's capabilities encompass a broad range of technical disciplines which include engineering, manufacturing, technical services, materials, processes, analysis, test, and documentation.
The candidate will report directly to the C2 Hardware Engineering Section within the Tactical Radars and Land Based Effectors AUR (TRaLBEAUR) Department. The Department provides mechanical and hardware systems engineering expertise and provides support across locations in California, Texas, and Massachusetts. The candidate will report directly to a Mechanical Design and Production Support section in the department. The mechanical engineer position is to perform research, design, analysis, and development in such areas as mechanical systems, thermal systems, materials, test equipment, hardware processes, or manufacturing processes.
What You Will Do
- Engineering Planning.
- Mechanical Engineering Design of Subassemblies and Equipment.
- Manufacturing Engineering and Hardware Development.
- Development and testing of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems.
- Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Hardware Integration.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Experience in developing mechanical subsystems documentation using CAD software.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Self-motivated with strong organization skills.
- Previous intern experience within the aerospace and defense industry.
