Job Summary
Principal Systems Security Engineer (P4) (Anti‑Tamper/Program Protection) – Fullerton, CA – Onsite.
What You Will DoInteract with the customer to define SSE requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness.
Develop plans and estimates; task execution; project tracking; reporting; risk identification and mitigation.
Ensure compliance with NIST RMF controls.
Consult with program management on SSE architecture and issues.
Support bid and proposal development.
Define security development and test efforts; implement security controls for networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware and software components.
Integrate cybersecurity development activities.
Develop top‑level system requirements and flow‑down requirements and implementation concepts to subsystems.
Understand and comply with DoD technology release and export licensing policies.
Qualifications- Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 8 years of relevant experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance prior to start date; U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience in technical leadership.
- Experience in System Security Engineering, computer technology reverse engineering, Anti‑Tamper, cybersecurity, or embedded security.
- Experience generating security requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans and/or policies.
- Preferred: designing, implementing, testing, and fielding real‑time embedded security solutions on DoD programs.
- Desired:
DoD Top Secret clearance with current SSBI within last 5 years. - Experience in SSE systems software, firmware, and microelectronics engineering, cryptography, and FPGA design.
- Attack threat modeling / Critical Program Information Assessments.
- Experience implementing SSE throughout the life cycle.
- Experience meeting robust SSE security requirements.
- CISSP, GSLC, CEH or other DoDD 8570/8140 certifications.
- Broad understanding of DODI‑S‑5230.28.
- Aircraft/weapons integration experience.
- Strategic planning and proposal writing skills.
- Exceptional ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

Salary range: $118,300–$224,900
USD. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
Additional incentive compensation depends on level and collective‑bargaining agreement. Eligibility for annual short‑term and/or long‑term incentive programs.
