Position Overview

The Procurement Manager plays a key role in overseeing the full purchasing lifecycle and ensuring optimal inventory levels across multiple locations. This hybrid role is responsible for managing incoming purchase orders, supervising product usage trends, and forecasting demand to support business growth. The position will also collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, evaluate supplier performance, and recommend sourcing improvements for quality enhancement and cost efficiency.

Job Responsibilities
  • Identify and recommend new suppliers, ingredients, and product developments to improve quality or reduce costs.
  • Maintain records of supplier performance and report findings to senior management.
  • Execute new or ongoing sourcing and product‑related projects, including, ingredient research for existing and promotional launches.
  • Monitor inventory levels across all warehouses/commissaries to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize shortages and overages for Bento SKUs.
  • Review weekly shortage and overage reports for all purchasing components.
  • Analyze product usage volume and forecast future demand based on trends, seasonality, promotions, and business insights.
  • Support new product setup and periodically review existing SKUs for accuracy and relevance.
  • Work closely with other departments within the Wonderfield group company such as AFCFC, JFE, and Bento to align operational forecasts with purchasing needs.
  • Lead weekly inventory reviews, including cycle counts, and verify inventory across 6 commissaries.
  • Coordinate closely with Wonderfield group companies, including WFDC, JFE, and Bento, ensuring alignment and streamlined communication.
  • Partner with Production, Warehouse Management, and Business Partnership teams to support operational planning and fulfillment.
  • Assist in projects, process improvements, and initiatives related to procurement, inventory optimization, or business growth.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
  • Support a 6-month transition and onboarding period to fully assume responsibilities.
  • Occasional Travel 10%

Key Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Food Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in food service operations.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Experience with custom import processes (food industry preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and database/ERP software.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
