Cal State Fullerton currently provides residence hall and apartment style living for approximately 2,000 students that is safe, clean, and very convenient. We seek an exceptional individual to join our Housing-Custodial Services team as the Housing Custodian. The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to inclusivity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

$3,461 - $4,107 per month

Monday
- Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Depending on the operational needs of the department, alternative shift times may be available; 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM; Saturday
- Sunday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM).

• Basic knowledge of the methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work.
• Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the duties of the position.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions to ensure safety.
• Ability to operate and care for custodial equipment and supplies applicable to the position.
• Ability to use custodial systems such as those used to track work orders and two-way radios for communication.
• Ability to perform work involving regular physical activity, observe safety requirements, and adhere to safe work practices and methods.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative work relationships.
• Position may require the ability to safely move up to fifty pounds and/or possession of a valid California driver's license.

• Previous commercial custodial experience in an educational environment.

• Requires extended periods of walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching overhead, and climbing ladders.
• Requires pushing and pulling custodial carts, sweeping, operating vacuum cleaners and other custodial equipment, and moving furniture and supplies.
• Work involves exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, dirt, and other environmental conditions commonly associated with custodial work.
• Employees may be required to work indoors and outdoors and in varying environmental conditions.
• The position requires access to residential facilities and the use of a master key.
• A live scan is required.
