About the Position

The President’s Office at California State University, Fullerton is seeking an exceptional individual to join the team as the Financial Manager (Administrator II). The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude, an active, energetic mind, and a leadership style that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to inclusivity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

The Financial Manager is responsible for budget development, budget administration, fiscal operations, and financial reporting for all funds allocated to the Office of the President and its units (not limited to El Dorado Ranch, Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Operations, Strategic Communications, Athletics, and Academic Senate). This includes State and non-State funds, and all University accounts managed by the Office of the President.

Provides general oversight of the Athletics budget, serving as a liaison between the Associate Athletics Director/CFO and the Office of the President. The Financial Manager serves as a resource for all support units that fall under the Office of the President and works closely with respective staff to develop annual budget plans, forecast reports, monitor expenditures, and ensures units operate within their allotted budget.

Guides and leads planning and strategic budgeting initiatives while maintaining consistency and cohesion across all units. Prepares budget plans, ensures the integrity of the President's financial data on the University's financial systems, and project revenues and expenditures. Implements internal fiscal controls and prepares financial reports using a variety of report writing tools. Serves as the primary liaison between all units within the Office of the President and Human Resources and Inclusive Excellence, facilitating HR actions as requested by the Chief of Staff.

The Financial Manager provides periodic reports to the Chief of Staff to the President regarding the status of all State and non-State accounts allocated and managed by the Office of the President. Provides immediate alerts regarding any irregular or unusual circumstances and recommends…
