Accounts Payable Supervisor

Alliance Resource Group has partnered with a construction firm in their search for a high-impact Interim AP Supervisor
. This is a critical leadership role designed for a "process architect" who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys building scalable foundations during periods of aggressive expansion.

The Interim AP Leader will be responsible for overseeing the full cycle of accounts payable across 10+ legal entities. You will serve as a strategic partner to the Controller and Field Operations, ensuring that systems, people, and processes are aligned to support the firm’s continued M&A activity and organizational growth.

• Leadership & Mentorship: Direct and develop the AP team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Accounting Ownership: Manage all AP-related accounting functions, including accruals, reconciliations, subledger tie-outs, and amortization schedules.
• Process Engineering: Redesign and implement scalable AP workflows to enhance efficiency across multiple legal entities.
• Systems Optimization: Troubleshoot and refine system workflows, focusing on check runs, queue visibility, and coding accuracy.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with Corporate, Field Operations, and Procurement to streamline communication and resolve bottlenecks.

• Experience: Proven track record as an AP Supervisor/Manager in a high-volume, dynamic environment
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of AP process design, system implementations, and fundamental accounting principles.
• Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
