Material Handler - SanDiego, CA

As a Material Handler, you will have an important role on our team helping us provide sophisticated supply chain solutions to our customers.

1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm

The hourly pay rate for this role is $20.75. GXO considers this the pay rate for this position at the time of posting, though it may be adjusted in the future and is applicable to jobs performed in California. This position is also eligible for hourly shift differential. • Support operations by moving material and inventory throughout the facility
• Use hand trucks, conveyors, or other material handling equipment
• Perform duties that may include packing, scanning, kitting, or counting products
• Verify orders, label products, and use a handheld scanner
• Adhere to the 7S program
• Maintain a clean environment at all times
• Work in a safe manner that protects you and your team members

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• At least 18 years of age
• The ability to perform basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents
• Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance via a background check

It would be great if you also have:

• 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed
• Experience using a handheld scanner
• Positive attitude and the ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectives

• Lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
• Standing, sitting, or walking for prolonged periods of time
• Bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, pushing, and pulling
• Handling or managing tools or equipment
• Tolerating hot or cold warehouse environments
