RN - Perinatal Educator at Providence St. Jude Medical Center, Fullerton, CA.
OverviewPer‑Diem position with variable shift hours during days, evenings, and weekends. Flexibility each month is required as outpatient classes are scheduled based on patient needs.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and evaluate outpatient educational classes.
- Provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum education, including childbirth preparation, breastfeeding support, newborn care, infant safety, and CPR.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.
- 1 year of nursing experience.
- RN experience in Maternal/Newborn Services.
- BLS Instructor certification through American Heart Association or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- IBCLC or CLC Certification.
- Childbirth Educator certification or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Competitive base pay ranging from $54.05 to $83.90 per hour, with potential for shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, and bonus opportunities.
