Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Fullerton, CA | Acute Care Hospital

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform sterile vaginal exams independently and without supervision as a core clinical requirement
• Conduct triage assessments for obstetric patients in accordance with unit protocols
• Document patient care accurately using electronic health record systems
• Float to Mother Baby unit as needed to support staffing requirements
• Commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

• Active and unrestricted RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission — pending licenses not accepted
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required (hard stop — no exceptions)
• ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum of 1.5 years of Labor and Delivery experience required (1.5 years is a hard stop; 2+ years preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to perform sterile vaginal exams and triage independently — candidates who cannot meet this requirement will not be considered
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be available to work weekends, potentially exceeding every-other-weekend to meet unit needs
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard travel rates; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a local rate

• 2 or more years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Prior experience floating to Mother Baby or similar postpartum units
• Familiarity with Meditech charting systems

• Work in a well-established acute care hospital with a structured Labor and Delivery unit and complimentary on-site parking
• Scrubs provided for this unit, reducing out-of-pocket expenses for travelers
