Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Fullerton, CA | Acute Care Hospital

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Must be open to working weekends, potentially exceeding every other weekend to meet unit need | Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform sterile vaginal exams independently and without supervision — this is a hard stop requirement
• Conduct and manage obstetric triage assessments
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Float to Mother Baby unit as needed
• Adhere to unit protocols and compliance standards throughout the duration of the assignment

• Active, valid RN license for the state of California (compact license must be in hand at time of submission — pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1.5 years of Labor and Delivery experience (1.5 years is a hard stop; 2+ years preferred)
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required — hard stop, no exceptions
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NRP
• Proficiency with Epic EMR is required
• Must be open to floating to Mother Baby unit
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard travel rates (locals within 50 miles may be considered at a different rate)
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of candidate submission; post-offer RTO may not be granted
• No background hits or Nursys findings accepted

• 2 or more years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Prior experience in a high-volume acute care Labor and Delivery setting
• Familiarity with Mother Baby / postpartum care for floating purposes

• Work in a well-established acute care facility with a structured Labor and Delivery unit and complimentary on-site parking
• Scrubs provided for L&D, reducing out-of-pocket costs for travel nurses
