- Review environmental consulting reports for technical accuracy, completeness, consistency, grammar, formatting, and presentation quality.
- Verify alignment of reports with internal QA/QC standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.
- Cross-check field data, laboratory results, sample IDs, chains of custody, photographs, tables, figures, and appendices against report narratives.
- Identify inconsistencies, omissions, errors, and formatting issues in technical documents.
- Ensure correct use of environmental, industrial hygiene, and regulatory terminology.
- Confirm all required report sections, exhibits, appendices, certifications, and supporting documents are included.
- Collaborate with project managers and technical staff to resolve report comments and corrections.
- Support improvement of report quality, consistency, and turnaround time.
- Identify recurring errors and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain QA/QC checklists, templates, review logs, and documentation standards.
- Support development of standardized workflows, terminology guides, and quality control procedures.
- Assist in improving AI-assisted and human-in-the-loop review processes.
- Track and report quality trends and recommend operational improvements.
- Contribute to training and development efforts for report quality enhancement.
- Strong technical writing, editing, proofreading, and document review skills.
- Experience reviewing technical or scientific reports for accuracy and consistency.
- Environmental consulting experience preferred.
- Familiarity with asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, indoor air quality, hazardous materials, and environmental site assessments.
- Ability to interpret laboratory reports, sampling data, and QA/QC documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word advanced features (tracked changes, formatting, templates, comments).
- Experience with technical report structure, including tables, figures, appendices, and supporting documentation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple documents and deadlines efficiently.
- Familiarity with QA/QC processes, document control, or compliance workflows.
- Exposure to environmental science, industrial hygiene, or related technical fields preferred.
- Familiarity with AI tools for document review is a plus.
