Under the direction of the Carl’s Jr. Manager, the cook position will provide excellent dining experience to all guests through quality food preparation, cleanliness, and outstanding customer service.
- Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes, quality standards, and portion guidelines.
- Cook proteins, vegetables, and other menu items using grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment.
- Clean and maintain grills, ovens, fryers, and other kitchen equipment to ensure proper functionality and sanitation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
- Restock kitchen stations and cook line supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Complete all required CSU and ASC mandatory trainings as directed.
- Complete all required trainings (ASC, Campus, and Campus Dining) by assigned deadlines to remain in compliance.
- Demonstrate integrity, honesty, and professionalism while supporting the mission, values, and culture of Auxiliary Services, Campus Dining, and California State University, Fullerton.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a cook in a Quick Service Restaurant.
- Prior Carl’s Jr. experience, preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong dependability, punctuality, and work ethic.
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
Prolonged standing and walking, talking, hearing, pulling, bending, may carry forty (40) pounds of objects/material, maybe exposed to extreme noise level, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, taste or smell.
