Senior Software Engineer – Radar Digital Product Line (RDPL) – Fullerton, CA

Location:

1801 Hughes Dr, BLDG 675, Fullerton, CA (Onsite)

Security Clearance: U.S. citizen required;
Active and transferable Secret government‑issued clearance required.

Responsibilities:

• Use radar domain experience to design, develop, and maintain embedded C++ software for tactical radar systems in a Dev Sec Ops  environment.
• Collaborate with Scrum teams and contribute to software architecture within the radar domain.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex software integration issues using Jenkins logs and debugging tools.
• Execute Software Integration Testing (SWIT) and lead root‑cause analysis of system‑level defects.
• Develop automation scripts (Python, Bash, Perl) for testing pipelines, log analysis, and integration tasks.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical planning, and architectural decisions.
• Assist with optional CONUS travel up to 15% if required.

Qualifications – Must Have:

• B.S. or equivalent in a STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience supporting radar systems using C++.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system software design.
• Proficiency with Linux development environments and Dev Sec Ops  tools (Jenkins, Jira, Git).
• Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Qualifications – Preferred:

• Advanced knowledge of radar systems and DSP algorithms.
• Experience with MATLAB for data analysis and visualization of test runs.
• Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Podman) for build and test environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash) for automation and testing.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a self‑motivated approach to debugging complex issues.
• Leadership experience and potential to grow into a Software Architect role.
