Our Connected Aviation – Air Traffic Solutions - Software Engineering Department (ATS-SED) is looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our team. We develop air traffic management systems used for controlling and monitoring aviation traffic. This is an opportunity to learn new technology, COTS tools, processes, and methodologies as you focus on improving your skills to support, design, develop, integrate, and test operational software components throughout the software development life‑cycle.
WhatYou Will Do
- Develop and maintain software packaged into our ATS products
- Maintain documentation and work instructions needed to meet ATS SED’s high maturity level software engineering standards and processes
- Participate in the agile process, including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and story pointing
- Work with an integrated engineering team in a highly collaborative environment, requiring frequent multi‑level communication with engineering team members, program management, and external stakeholders
- Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Experience developing software in a Linux/Unix environment
- Experience with the complete software development lifecycle using modern C++
- Experience developing networked software applications using TCP/IP, UDP, or distributed messaging technologies
- Experience developing software for radar systems, sensor systems, signal processing applications, or other complex distributed systems
- U.S. citizenship is absolutely required
, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under these programs/contracts
- Experience with performing simulation and analysis using Matlab, Python, or other similar tools and languages
- Experience with multithreaded software development, debugging, and troubleshooting
- Experience developing distributed applications, messaging systems, or micro‑service‑oriented architectures
- Experience with Agile software development principles and tools
This position can be located in Marlborough, MA;
Omaha, NE; or Fullerton, CA.

Salary range for this role is 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good‑faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
