Job Summary
Algorithms Systems Engineer – Joint Precision Approach and Landing System (JPALS) Program. Onsite location: 1801 Hughes Dr, BLDG 676, Fullerton, CA 92631. U.S. citizen required. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued DoD Secret Security Clearance (active, existing after day
1).
- Test algorithms and models for the JPALS program.
- Develop tools to accomplish sufficient testing.
- Work on multiple tasks in a software development environment.
- Conduct analysis for system troubleshooting and analysis.
- Improve code quality by performing code reviews and following good software practices.
- Document equations, derivation, and generate plots in MATLAB.
- Perform data and statistical analysis.
- Collaborate with parties within and outside own job function; may provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees.
- Proficiency in MATLAB (code optimization and numerical stability).
- Understanding of basic software development principles – configuration control, collaborative development, formal processes.
- Experience in reading and developing algorithm descriptions, mathematical expressions, derivations, matrix manipulations, outlier analysis, and system level analysis.
- Experience performing data analysis and problem solving (e.g., anomaly investigation).
- At least 2 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in STEM.
- Ability to obtain a SECRET Security Clearance.
- Experience in the systems engineering discipline.
- Experience performing complex statistical analysis and/or mathematical modeling.
- Experience performing model-driven design using Simulink and auto-generated code.
- Experience with development of solutions to GPS Navigation Systems.
- Willingness to travel and do field work.

Salary range: $75,800 USD – $144,200 USD. This role is a U.S.
-based role; if the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
