Truck Driver - Class A OTR

Compensation

Earn $32.80 per hour with overtime after 40 hours. No touch freight.

• Dispatch times vary depending on work assignment
• Drivers travel to assigned location and work there for the duration of the assignment

• Deliver groceries to local stores
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers
• Approximately one overnight stay/layover per month

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-exempt interstate DOT medical card.
• 1 year of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the last three years required, or 2 years of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the last five years.
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• English language proficiency as required by federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)).
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete the Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company; the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must be able to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally lift and or move up to 100 lbs (45 kg).
• The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
