- Hours: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM (subject to business needs)
- Experience: Transportation management background, strong communicator, goal‑oriented, detail‑oriented, demonstrated leadership skills. Supports 55 Class A drivers.
- Salary: $70,304 – $83,600. Bonus eligible based on performance.

Provide operational leadership to individual contributors and hourly workforce to ensure the execution of daily tasks and activities, including driver deliveries, loading/unloading of trailers, and customer service operations in a manner consistent with company services and cost objectives. Directly supervise most processes, manage performance, make corrective action and disciplinary decisions up to written warning level, and participate in hiring and customer meetings as required.

- Establish and sustain that all supervisors and associates are trained, competent and understand how their work relates to customer business objectives.
- Communicate performance standards that are specific and measurable.
- Interview hourly associates and provide hiring recommendations.
- Monitor attendance, productivity, and other standards; provide coaching and counseling.
- Motivate and engage associates through team accomplishments and recognition.
- Supervise logistics operations, customer service, freight loading/unloading, dispatch and documentation controls.
- Conduct team meetings and recommend changes in work methods to increase dispatch productivity.
- Provide relief coverage when associates take time off or are absent.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of site operating systems for operational compliance and exception resolution.
- Complete all records and reports in a timely, accurate manner.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies: tracking MPG, returns, damages.
- Understand decision‑making relationship to profitability.
- Manage associates’ working hours to minimize overtime and meet productivity targets.
- Align day‑to‑day management and associate activities with the location safety strategy.
- Provide training, feedback, and direction to ensure safe performance.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies and company policies.
- Conduct safety observations.
- Understand location‑specific customer goals and work to exceed them daily.
- Communicate commitment to helping customers achieve objectives.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Plan work assignments to optimize fleet equipment utilization.
- Train associates on safe, efficient equipment operation.
- Coordinate with vendors and Penske Truck Leasing for maintenance schedules.
- Carry out other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor.
- Demonstrated leadership with strong interpersonal skills; able to build rapport and maintain solid relationships with associates, internal and external customers.
- Efficient and independent work style with strong time‑management and organizational skills.
- Strong written and oral communication; active listening skills required.
- Problem‑solving, critical thinking, and independent decision‑making.
- Drive process improvement and lead change.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ownership and responsibility to run operations with urgency.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Bachelor’s preferred. - Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, and complete background checks and drug screening.
- Meet physical and mental demands to perform essential functions; reasonable accommodations possible.
- Read, communicate verbally or in writing, remember and analyze information, and understand instructions.
- Stand, walk, sit; use hands to touch, handle, feel; reach with arms; occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs (12 kg).
- Require close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
