Job Type: This is a part time, exempt position.

General Description:

William Woods University is now accepting applications for a part-time adjunct faculty to teach up to two sections of BIO 115 - Biology I for Majors Lab. Both sections are offered every Monday (1-4pm and 6-9pm). The weekly lab activities are already prepared. The instructor's responsibilities will be to facilitate the lab, grade lab reports, and prepare and put away the lab materials.

Position Requirements :

* · A doctorate in biology is preferred, but applicants with a master's in biology will be considered.

* Experience teaching labs and professional working experience in the related fields is preferred.

* Applicants must have at least five (5) years of experience in the field related to the course(s) they will teach.

* Experience teaching courses at the graduate level is preferred.

* Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations.

* Demonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills.

* Excellent computer skills.

* Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet frequently occurring deadlines.

* Ability to develop a professional rapport with diverse school/campus constituents.

* Ability to develop and complete projects without continued direct supervision.

* Outstanding conflict resolution skills.
