Writing Center Consultants
Consultants (tutors) will work with students in Writing Center to improve general writing skills, organization, and grammar/mechanics/style. Consultants will also be required to attend training sessions with the Writing Center Director.
In addition to an application submitted via the Campus Employment system, students should forward a writing sample (a sample paper from a college course) and a brief (1 page) letter outlining their interest in the position and their qualifications (see preferred skills) to (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).

Requirements
- Reliable: you must commit to 2 shifts a week at the beginning of the semester and stick with those times. As a Writing Center, we will work together to determine dates and times for fall and spring writing retreats. You will be asked to help plan and attend these.
- Excellent writing skills: "A" or "B" in Academic Writing strongly preferred
- Excellent social and communication skills: you must be comfortable working with your peers.
- At least sophomore status at the beginning of the fall semester
This position is open only to active, currently enrolled Westminster College students.
