• Assessment and treatment of mental illnesses
• Provide complete psychiatric services including:
  • Assessment
  • Diagnosis
  • Medical prescription
  • Treatment
• Prescribes, evaluates, and monitors administration of medications
• Leads interdisciplinary teams in evaluating new patients and writes admission and discharge orders
• Serves as a consultant to other medical staff
• Prepares/submits evaluation reports to the courts and testifies in court proceedings

Applicants will be responsible for more elaborate, complex, and precise evaluation and care to severely mentally and/or emotionally ill adults.

• Knowledge of professional principles and practices of medicine and psychiatry, and of current theories and practices in the field of mental health
• Knowledge of medications and their effects on physical and psychological disorders
• Ability to provide expert witness testimony regarding the status of patients’ psychological condition
