Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Temporary Pharmacist for an assignment in the Fulton, MO area. This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist looking for a stable, full-time weekday schedule in a state high-security psychiatry hospital pharmacy. The pharmacy is located in a separate building outside the secure perimeter, and limited to no direct patient contact is expected.

Assignment Details

• Start:
  Early September
• Duration:
  Ongoing until permanent pharmacist is hired
• Schedule:
  
  Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
• Pharmacy Closure:
  Closed on all Missouri state holidays
• Weekend Coverage:
  None
• On-Call:
  None
• Training:
  Approximately 3 days of training required prior to starting

Requirements

• Active Missouri Pharmacist License in good standing
• Behavioral health experience is not required
• Order Entry System:
  Oracle/Cerner — training provided
• Site Automation:
  Parata ATP2 Packager — training provided
• Dress Code:
  Business casual or any color scrubs
• Local Candidates Only

Responsibilities

• Checking bags flagged by Inspect Rx
• Repackaging and correcting bags as needed
• Refilling canisters
• Checking medications using barcode scanning after they have been filled by technicians
• Providing limited order verification
• Supporting daily pharmacy workflow and operations
• Working with pharmacy staff for assistance with troubleshooting as needed
• Technician Support:
  Technicians operate the packager, fill orders, and prepare medications for pharmacist verification.
