Fulton State Hospital will be opening an innovative new program designed specifically for clients diagnosed with both developmental disabilities and mental illness within the minimum-security Hearnes Psychiatric Center. This program will offer acute psychiatric and behavioral stabilization in an inpatient mental health setting. Given the short length of stay expected for clients in the program, the work environment will be immersive and fast-paced.

This is a half-time position. Scheduling is flexible to fit the program and applicant’s needs.

This is a part time position.
What You’ll DoFulton State Hospital is looking for an Occupational Therapist with experience working with individuals dually diagnosed with developmental disabilities and mental illness. The OT will function as an active member of an interdisciplinary treatment team. Primary duties include completing planning and conducting therapeutic groups within the Hearnes Acute Rehabilitation Program to meet the needs of the clients. Completion of Occupational Therapy assessments and consultations for clients with sensory integration, complex medical needs and disabilities.
Case Management and completing required program and department documentation required.
- Must hold a license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Missouri
- Training and/or experience working with individuals dually diagnosed with developmental disabilities and serious mental illnesses
