Position: Event Supervisor (Baseball/Softball)

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Event Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the public, staff, and participants at events held within the facility. They assist with the overall supervision of events, manage staff, and help ensure that events run smoothly and efficiently. This position is responsible for overseeing safety protocols and handling emergency situations when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Experience, Education, and Training

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to stay calm and act quickly in high-pressure situations.
  • Knowledge of emergency response procedures.
  • Umpiring or supervising Baseball/Softball is preferred.
Requirements
  • Must pass pre-employment drug testing and submit to periodic drug testing as applicable laws require.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and be willing and able to attend any training sessions.
  • Must pass CPR Course
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours during the afternoon and evenings Monday through Thursday.
  • Must be available to attend pre-season training.
  • Must have no felony convictions.

  • Ability to make quick but sound decisions.
  • Ability to perform and act professionally under pressure.
  • Able to make accurate change.
FUNCTIONS Essential Functions
  • Ensure the safety of attendees, staff, and facilities during events.
  • Assist in the setup, breakdown, and smooth operation of events.
  • Supervise and guide event staff, providing support as needed.
  • Monitor crowd control and enforce facility rules and policies.
  • Greet and interact with the public.
Other Requirements Environment
  • Above average accessibility of all work sites required for the position.
  • Above average exposure to weather and temperature extremes.
  • Above average exposure to dust and loud noises.
Physical
  • Prolonged periods working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Employment is seasonal and requires irregular hours and some holidays.
