Position: Coordinator of Practical Nursing Program (12-Month Faculty) - Cayuga Community College
Job Description:

The Coordinator of the Practical Nursing Program reports to and collaborates with the Chair of the Division of Nursing and as such represents the Practical Nursing Program in the College and the community, coordinates the achievement of program outcomes, provides leadership for the daily operation of the program and works with the Nursing Division Chair to develop, administer, and implement program policies, resources, budget, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities:

Practical Nursing Program Responsibilities

Provide professional leadership

Manage the Practical Nursing Program at the Fulton campus

Coordinate student-program communication

Implement ongoing assessment of student learning outcomes and program outcomes

Coordinate program's use of technology and facilities

Prepare and administer the program budget

College-Wide Responsibilities

Adhere to the Program Director responsibilities

Participate in activities to support the Institutional Strategic Plan

Maintain liaison with admissions and counseling departments

Collaborate with grant writer when appropriate for funding opportunities

Community Responsibilities

Assist with coordinator the Nursing Department's Advisory Committee meeting annually

Network with affiliating agencies

Coordinate employer references for graduates

Professional Responsibilities

Participate in state-wide Practical Nursing organizations

Attend national conferences

Serve as a role model to faculty and students

Develop collegial working relationships with students, faculty colleagues and clinical agency personnel

Teaching Responsibilities:
The Practical Nursing Program Coordinator will teach a maximum of 9 credits per semester.

Requirements:

Current, unencumbered New York State RN license

Master's degree in nursing

Clinical Experience

Teaching Experience

Leadership experience
