Math Specialist

Tutoring in the Center for Academic Success.

Providing individual and small group instruction.

Conducting drop-in workshops as requested.

Conducting study groups.

Maintaining appropriate records.

Submitting a summary report at the end of the semester which identifies progress toward program objectives.

Training and supervising peer math tutors.

Collaborating with faculty.

Master's degree in Mathematics, Math Education, Developmental Math or related field, with knowledge of math from basic levels through Calculus, including statistics required.

Teaching experience at the college level required; experience working in a learning center and training and supervising math tutors preferred.

Knowledge of graphing calculators and other technological aids preferred.

Good organizational skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work individually and collaboratively required.

This is part-time position offering up to 29 hours per week. Opportunities exist at both campuses.
