Constellation Energy seeks an Electrical I&C Engineer to support reliable, safe, and efficient operations across our utilities and energy portfolio. In this role, you will design, configure, and maintain electrical power, instrumentation, and control systems for generation and related facilities. Responsibilities include executing I&C projects, performing system studies and troubleshooting, ensuring compliance with industry codes and NERC/IEEE/ISA standards, and supporting commissioning and maintenance.
You will collaborate with cross functional teams, contribute to continuous improvement and digital modernization initiatives, and help drive sustainability, grid reliability, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for energy facilities
- Perform power system and I&C studies, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable operation
- Support commissioning, testing, and startup of new and upgraded electrical and control systems
- Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for projects
- Ensure compliance with NERC, IEEE, ISA, and corporate engineering standards and procedures
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to resolve system issues
- Identify and implement reliability, efficiency, and safety improvements for plant systems
- Assist with root cause analyses and corrective action plans for equipment and control failures
- Support digital modernization, automation, and monitoring initiatives across facilities
- Provide technical guidance to junior staff and stakeholders on electrical and I&C topics

- Electrical power systems design

- HMI/SCADA configuration
- Power system analysis software (ETAP, SKM)
- Control loop tuning and troubleshooting
- Protective relaying fundamentals
- Industrial networking and communication protocols
