Overview
Wake Med Physician Practices is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Ambulatory Care Nurse (RN) to support our growing OB/GYN team. Based primarily at our Holly Springs/Fuquay-Varina location, this nurse will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care and clinical support to women's health patients throughout their healthcare journey. The ideal candidate brings at least two years of nursing experience, with prior OB/GYN or women's health experience strongly preferred.

Flexibility is important, as this role may provide support across other Wake Med OB/GYN locations as needed to ensure seamless patient care throughout the system.
What You’ll Do- Provide direct nursing support to OB/GYN patients in an ambulatory clinic setting.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, and other clinical team members to coordinate patient care.
- Perform patient assessments, triage calls, medication management, patient education, and follow-up care.
- Support prenatal, gynecologic, and women's health services through clinical excellence and compassionate care.
- Serve as a patient advocate by addressing concerns, coordinating resources, and helping patients navigate their care experience.
- Assist with care planning, referrals, and coordination of services across the continuum of care.
- Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and compliance with established clinical protocols.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance patient experience and operational efficiency.
- Support staffing and patient care needs across Wake Med OB/GYN practice locations when necessary.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in North Carolina.
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience required.
- OB/GYN, Women's Health, Labor & Delivery, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, or ambulatory care experience strongly preferred, but not required.
- Genuine interest in women's healthcare and supporting patients throughout all stages of life.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
- Self-motivated professional who takes initiative and embraces accountability.
- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to collaboration and service excellence.
- Flexibility to travel to other Wake Med OB/GYN practice locations as needed.
