The City of Gadsden is currently accepting applications for a Transit Coordinator - Finance. This is a full-time position with benefits. The salary range for this position is $40,352.00 - $53,248.00.

Purpose of Position

The purpose of this position is to provide administrative and accounting services within the Transportation Department. An employee of this class is required to exercise considerable initiative, independent judgement, and discretion in all aspects of office procedure. New assignments and changes in policies, local, state, federal laws and procedures are received in general outline and incumbents are expected to proceed with minimum supervision.

This position is required to assist with accounting activities using the city’s financial software.

  • This position is required to assist with the development and maintenance of the Departmental budgets.
  • The person in this position will maintain contact with Federal and State officials, as well as local elected stakeholders.
